Lives a dark California boy

Layin’ in the sand soakin’ in the sun

He never ever had so much fun


The sun comes up and it shines all day

Makes me warm then it goes away

The wind blows gently it’s a lovely breeze

Playin’ in the palm and banana trees

Calypso girls and friends so fine

Give such joy to this life of mine

The old men and ladies and the children too

Make me want to share this life with you

The waves break gently on the sandy shore
