Do you know my desolation?

Does your heart bleed down your breast?

Please don’t sell me consolation.

I’d rather suffer through the test.


Do you know this death within me?

Have you seen my face at night?

Do you dream of me within you?

Does your memory choke your life?


I can’t remember you.

I’ve shoved you out of my head.

My soul surrounded you

And you left me hear for dead.


Do you miss me in the morning?

Does your body ache for mine?

Does the sunrise make you lonely?

Has the night been too unkind?


Does your heart ache with the memory?

Do your thoughts waste into time?

Does your soul break into pieces?

When I happen to cross your mind?


I won’t remember you.

I’ve got to get you out of my head.

My soul surrounded you

And now, God, I swear that I’m dead.
